Last year at this time Christine and I felt a strong calling to bring a little girl into our home through adoption. We began by exploring the possibilities of adopting a orphan from Russia and did everything we could to make the paper work happen. But with our residence overseas and the intense complication of Russian adoptions this proved too difficult.
Then, we changed our thoughts to adopting from China. But again, the paper work at the time (while we were on furlough) proved to be too great a task, if not impossible. So, we set aside adoption to our return to the States in 2008.
Now, one year later, providing a home for a little girl who needs a family is still very much on our hearts.
Pray for us as we look into the possibilities once again. Our first hurdle is the Home Study: finding a social worker or accredited agency who can do the Home Study in accordance with China’s regulations.
