They will laugh at you if you say that…

In my mind is said (in kinyarwanda):

“When did you cook the fish?

But with my mouth I said:

“You cooked the bike!”

When Felix heard me say that he almost doubled over laughing saying, “If you say that they will laugh at you!”

We’re having lots of fun learning Kinyarwanda! It’s coming, little by little!

  2. Wes Allen says:

Okay, answer me this question: Did you ever row a bicycle?

Then somebody said: No Dummy, you don’t row a bicycle, you row a boat.

That’s funny, I rode one yesterday!

Now tell me how to say that in Kinyarwanda.

The fact that you are able to laugh at yourself as you are in your learning curve is very healthy! Keep up your sense of humor! You continue firmly in our prayers with regard to the language and other things. Blessings!

  4. Michael Millsap says:

I think the real problem will start when you try to ride your fish! I can only imagine having the learn a new language…best of luck to you and God bless your work.
